The concave, concrete table presents itself as a new pseudo-crater, rising in front of the Skútustaðagígar pseudo-craters of nature.
The table provides an accessible open terrace from which visitors can view the pseudo-crater and the lake, while geometric grids and abstract volumes are latent under the concave roof.

As visitors pass through the service building with a cafe and information center and move to the gallery and special exhibition, they look outdoors at the surrounding oreum and Altteureu Airfield, as well as evidence of modern history mixed within.
In conclusion, the museum integrates the neglected evidence of modern history into the third landscape by creating an artificial oreum.
